• About the Role: 

As an Italian Chef, you’ll bring the authentic flavours of Italy to our client kitchen. You’ll be responsible for creating traditional and innovative Italian dishes, from fresh pasta and risotto to artisanal pizzas.

Responsibilities:

• Create authentic Italian menus that showcase traditional and modern dishes while considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Prepare and cook Italian cuisine dishes, including pasta, risotto, antipasti, meat, seafood, and desserts, with attention to detail and quality.
• Source high-quality Italian ingredients, such as olive oil, cheeses, meats, and produce, and ensure they meet freshness and quality standards.
• Interact with customers to understand their preferences, accommodate special requests, and provide recommendations on Italian dishes and wine pairings.

Requirements:

• Obtain a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
• Have at least three years of verifiable experience in a leadership position as an Italian Chef.
• Depth of knowledge regarding Italian culinary methods and cuisine.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and experience working effectively in a team.

Applicants who need sponsorship must meet the following criteria, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements:

• Possession of a valid English language certificate is mandatory, with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and no individual component scoring below 5.0 in the IELTS test
• Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be necessary, contingent on your passport or the location of your placement.
