  • About the Role: 

As the Head Chef, your role will entail supervising every facet of kitchen management, encompassing menu development, culinary preparation, personnel supervision, and administrative tasks..

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, strategizing, and revising menus in harmony with the restaurant’s ethos, seasonal ingredient availability, and customer preferences.
  • Supervising all culinary processes and kitchen activities to guarantee that dishes meet stringent standards of flavour, excellence, and uniformity, while upholding food safety protocols.
  • Managing kitchen logistics such as staff scheduling, workflow optimization, and equipment upkeep to ensure seamless operations.
  • Evaluating food expenditures, tracking costs, and pinpointing avenues for waste reduction and operational enhancement while upholding quality standards.
  • Facilitating clear communication among front-of-house personnel, management, and suppliers to foster efficient operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Attain a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant certification.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of proven experience in a leadership role as Head Chef.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities, organisational prowess, and meticulous attention to detail, essential for overseeing kitchen operations effectively.
  • Showcase excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, coupled with a deep understanding of collaborative teamwork dynamics.

Applicants who require sponsorship must fulfil the following criteria, in addition to those mentioned above:

  • A valid English language certification, such as the IELTS, with no component below 5.0 and an overall score of at least 5.5 is required.
  • You may need to successfully complete a skill assessment administered by the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS), depending on the location of your placement or your passport.
