• About the Role: 

As a European chef, you will assume the responsibility of crafting a diverse array of European dishes, encompassing renowned cuisines such as Italian, Spanish, French, and others. Your role entails mastering the intricate techniques and distinct flavours characteristic of each culinary tradition, ensuring authenticity and excellence in every dish you create. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative and appealing menus inspired by European culinary traditions.
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary excellence and efficiency.
• Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
• Managing food costs and budgeting to optimize profitability without compromising quality.

Requirements:

• Obtaining a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification
• Three years minimum of experience in European Cuisine.
• Demonstrated proficiency in European cuisine, including knowledge of traditional techniques, ingredients, and flavours.
• Have good communication skills and attitude, familiar with teamwork.

• It is necessary to have an active English language certification, such as the IELTS, with an overall score of at least 5.5 and no component falling below 5.0.
• You may need to successfully complete a skill assessment administered by the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS), depending on the location of your placement or your passport.
