JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Providing hands-on leadership with the day-to-day management of kitchen and FOH team members
• Ensuring that company policy is fully briefed and understood during induction and fully adhered to at all times
• Monitoring the kitchen cleaning rosters at all times and ensuring cleaning checklists are being completed
• Delivering menus for both daily café use and providing innovative and flexible menu options for functions and events
• Managing stock control and security of food storage areas
• Assisting Executive Chef in counting the monthly food stock
• Supporting the Head Chef with the development of menus, recipes, and sourcing of produce.
• Assisting in the development of operational procedures and manuals to drive consistent performance.
• Delivering shift operations in line with approved rosters and budgets.
• Training and developing junior or new staff.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Relevant qualification to an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related position should the qualification be highly relevant or at least 3 years if the qualification is not relevant.
• English mastery proven with at least either one of the following:

5.0 for each test component on IELTS test, or

36 for each test component on PTE Academic test, or

35 of total score with minimum of 4 each for listening & reading and 14 each for speaking & writing on TOEFL iBT.

The test must still be valid or have been taken in the last 2 years. A higher English test score may be required depending on the visa requirements.

• Relevant Employment Reference(s) to confirm Applicant’s previous and current work experience. Neurone may request other documentation such as payslips, social or health insurance linked with employment, tax documents to further confirm the employment history and for visa application purposes later on.
• Related occupational training, skill, or competency certificate (e.g. HACCP, Food Safety Standard)
• Valid Skill Assessment outcome from the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) or VETASSESS) may be required if applicant holds a certain passport or the position is in a regional area.
• No age limitations imposed for the sponsorship program but maximum of 45 years old for the Permanent Resident pathway (age concession may be available for positions in regional areas).
• Never had any criminal record and must be able to pass the national police check.
