Looking for maintenance specialist for small engines and diamond-tipped construction equipment (including generators, saws, compactors, and grinders).
This is not an automotive mechanic role. We’re looking for a trade-qualified small engine professional with leadership experience who can manage a busy workshop, guide a small team, and deliver high-quality repairs for precision construction gear.

About the Role

You will diagnose, repair, and service small engines and outdoor power equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently while providing reliable repair recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults in small petrol and diesel engines
• Servicing and maintaining lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, pumps, generators, and similar equipment
• Carburetor cleaning, tuning, and replacement
• Inspecting and repairing ignition systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical components
• Rebuilding and overhauling small engines
• Sharpening and adjusting cutting blades (e.g., mower blades, chainsaw chains) Using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Conducting performance tests after repairs

What We Are Looking For

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with small engines or construction plant
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Previous leadership or workshop supervision experience preferred
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Valid driver’s licence (trade certification highly regarded)
• Welding/fabrication and workshop software knowledge is a plus
• Possession of a valid English language certificate is mandatory, with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and no individual component scoring below 5.0 on the IELTS test.
