• About the Role: 

As a Mining Engineer with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and overseeing mine plans, including excavation, drilling, and resource extraction. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise mining processes, ensuring safety standards and environmental impact considerations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mine plans and designs, considering safety, efficiency, and environmental impact.
• Oversee day-to-day mining operations, ensuring adherence to plans and optimizing processes for maximum productivity.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Manage mining projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with geologists, surveyors, and other engineering professionals to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining engineering, with a strong background in mine planning and operations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Applicants who need sponsorship must meet the following criteria, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements:

• Having a valid English language certificate is a requirement, with an IELTS test score of at least 6.0 overall and no component falling below 6.0
• Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (Engineers Australia) may be required, depending on the location of your placement.
