• About the Role: 

As a Mining Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to utilise your expertise in geological analysis, mine planning, and resource optimization to drive efficiency and sustainability. From conducting feasibility studies to implementing cutting-edge technologies, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mining

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement mine plans, including excavation methods, equipment selection, and safety protocols.
• Oversee all phases of mining projects, from initial planning and permitting to extraction and reclamation. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Monitor mining operations to identify opportunities for improving productivity, reducing costs, and minimising environmental impact.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and minimise risks associated with mining activities. 
• Provide technical expertise and support to mine operators, supervisors, and other staff.

Requirements:

• Obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a mining engineer.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mining engineering principles and methodologies.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.

Applicants who need sponsorship must meet the following criteria, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements:

• Having a valid English language certificate is a requirement, with an IELTS test score of at least 6.0 overall and no component falling below 6.0
• Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (Engineers Australia) may be required, depending on the location of your placement.
