• About the Role: As a Japanese Sous Chef, you are the maestro behind the preparation of exquisite Japanese dishes. From precise sushi rolls to perfectly seasoned sashimi, your expertise in Japanese culinary techniques will captivate the senses.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and execute a diverse range of Japanese dishes, maintaining the highest standards of taste and presentation.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a seamless kitchen operation, inspiring creativity and excellence.
• Oversee the sourcing and quality of Japanese ingredients, guaranteeing the freshness and authenticity of all dishes.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the field of Japanese Chef
• Proficiency in Japanese culinary techniques, including sushi, sashimi, and traditional cooking methods.
• Depending on your passport and the location of your placement, a valid Skill Assessment outcome from the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be needed.
• A valid certificate of proficiency in English with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and a minimum of 5.0 for each IELTS component.
