• About the Role:

In your role as an Italian chef, you will have to create and present a varied menu of real Italian food that demonstrates your mastery of regional Italian flavours and cooking methods.

Responsibilities:

• Work together with the head chef to develop and refresh the Italian menu while maintaining its authenticity and variety.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and authenticity.
• Oversee the preparation and serving of Italian food, ensure that it is prepared according to the recipes, quality requirements, and presentation standards.
• Search and choose premium Italian products, such as fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and olive oil.
• Maintain health and safety regulations in the kitchen, which include proper food handling and hygiene procedures.
• Participate in the development of daily or seasonal specials, demonstrating creativeness within the confines of Italian cooking.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in Italian Cuisine.
• Show that you have a sincere love for Italian food by being well-versed in its traditional ingredients, preparation techniques, and regional variances.
• Have good communication skills and attitude, familiar with teamwork.

• Having a valid English language certificate is a requirement, with an IELTS test score of at least 5.5 overall and no component falling below 5.0.
• Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be required, contingent on your passport or the location of your placement.
