• About the Role: 

As a Grill Chef, your primary responsibility is to masterfully execute the grilling station, ensuring the creation of flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the grill section of the menu, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage the timing of grill orders to ensure all items are cooked to the desired level of doneness and served simultaneously.
• Uphold high standards of food quality and consistency, conducting regular checks to maintain excellence in grilling.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of the grill station, ensuring a tidy and organised workspace.
• Mentor and train junior kitchen staff in grilling techniques, ensuring consistency across the team.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience in the Grill section.
• In-depth knowledge of grill methods.
• Have good communication skills and attitude, familiar with teamwork.

• Possession of a valid English language certificate is mandatory, with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and no individual component scoring below 5.0 on the IELTS test.
• Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be required, contingent on your passport or the location of your placement.
