• About the Role: 

As a Grill Chef, your primary responsibility is to skillfully operate the grilling station to ensure that the food is perfectly prepared and cooked.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables on a grill according to established recipes and standards.
• Monitoring grill temperatures and adjusting as necessary to ensure food is cooked properly.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the grill area, including regularly cleaning the grill surface and surrounding area.
• Training and supervising junior kitchen staff assigned to the grill station.
• Ensuring proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.

Requirements:

• Obtaining a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification
• Two years minimum of experience in the Grill division.
• Deep proficiency with grilling methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team.

• It is necessary to have an active English language certification, such as the IELTS, with an overall score of at least 5.5 and no component falling below 5.0.
• You may need to successfully complete a skill assessment administered by the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS), depending on the location of your placement or your passport
