  • About the Role:ย 

As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service. This is a key leadership role involving menu creation, kitchen management, and the training and development of kitchen staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Develop creative and innovative menus in line with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, including inventory, procurement, and cost control.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to maintain high service standards.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and implement new techniques as appropriate.

 

Requirements:

  • At least a certificate IV in commercial cookery or above
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an Execuitive Chef or in leading a kitchen team.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Certifications in Food Safety and Hygiene are preferred.

Applicants who need sponsorship must meet the following criteria, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements:

  • A valid English language certificate is needed, with an overall IELTS score of at least 5.5 and no individual section scoring less than 5.0.
  • Depending on where you are placed or your nationality, you may need to complete a skill assessment from either TRA or VETASSESS, the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities.
