Job Description

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the specialty section
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Monitor stock levels and report missing/needed items.
  • Assisting with the management of health and safety
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
  • Develop and training Commis/Cooks
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Supervise the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards

Qualification:

To be considered for these exciting culinary opportunities, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience, or 3 years if the qualification is not directly related.
  • Demonstrated English proficiency (meeting specific test score requirements).
  • Strong employment references validating previous and current work experiences.
  • Relevant occupational training, skill, or competency certificates (e.g., HACCP, Food Safety Standard, etc.).
  • Valid Skill Assessment outcome from relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be necessary based on your passport or placement location.
  • Clean criminal record and the ability to pass a national police check.
