PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
As Head Chef at The Playing Fields Café, I am responsible for overseeing daily kitchen
operations, leading a team, managing inventory, and designing seasonal menus that align
with customer preferences and dietary needs. This position has allowed me to further
develop my leadership abilities, sharpen my time management skills, and ensure every plate
delivered meets the highest culinary standards.
In my concurrent role as a Chef de Partie, I support senior chefs in preparing, cooking, and
presenting dishes to a consistently high standard. I also assist in onboarding new staff by
coordinating kitchen setups—including sourcing equipment such as laptops and microphones
for digital recipe training and communication. My duties extend to logging ICT-related tasks
such as software installations and printer setups, ensuring smooth kitchen administration
alongside food preparation.
Previously, as a Commis Chef for large hotel events, I was involved in preparing dishes for
weddings, corporate functions, and special events. I worked closely with executive chefs to
execute tailored menus, ensuring guest satisfaction through meticulous preparation and
presentation. I also upheld strict hygiene protocols and contributed to maintaining a safe and
organised kitchen environment.
