About Employment Sponsorship
What is employment sponsorship?
Employment sponsorship is when a company (the employer) supports a foreign worker’s visa application so they can legally work in that country.
What are the requirements/eligibility criteria?
To qualify for employment sponsorship in Australia, you generally need relevant skills or experience in an approved occupation, meet English, health, and character requirements, and have an employer willing to sponsor you for a full-time position approved by the government.
Can I find a job quickly through this program?
Finding a job through this program depends on your skills, experience, and the current demand in Australia. Some candidates are matched with employers quickly, while others may take more time depending on available openings and visa requirements.
Do I need specific skills that match the SOL (Skilled Occupation List)?
Yes, you generally need skills and experience that match an occupation listed on Australia’s Skilled Occupation List (SOL). This ensures your qualifications meet the criteria for visa sponsorship and that your role is in demand in Australia.
Is there an age limit to apply for jobs in Australia?
There is no official age limit to apply for jobs in Australia. However, age requirements may apply depending on the type of visa used for employment.
I’ve applied, what happens next?

Yes, English proficiency is a key requirement for almost Australian work visas.
What if my education background is not related to the job I want?
Formal education is not always the only measure of suitability. Many employers in Australia value hands-on experience, technical skills, or proven performance over formal qualifications. Neurone will help evaluate your profile to determine if your work experience or certifications can compensate for a non-relevant degree.
What if I don’t have experience in the same field?
If your experience isn’t directly aligned but you have transferable skills, you can still be considered. Neurone can help identify pathways and entry-level opportunities that align with your potential. In some cases, Professional Development Programs or training may be recommended before applying for visa sponsorship.
Can I bring my family with me?
For most employer-sponsored and skilled visas, you can include your spouse and dependent children in your application. Neurone and our migration partners will guide you through family inclusion and documentation steps.
Is there a salary deduction system available after starting work?
No, there is no salary deduction system after starting work, including for employees on sponsorship visas. Any deductions from salary are strictly prohibited by employment regulations, except where explicitly required by law (e.g., taxes or super contribution, etc.). All employees, including those on sponsored visas, will receive their full salary as agreed in their employment contract.
I don't have money. Can I work in Australia?
It depends on what you mean by “money.” If you are referring to funds for working in Australia, then as an applicant from outside the country, you must equip yourself with the necessary competencies and certifications required for a work visa these costs are your own responsibility. In addition, you should also prepare for initial accommodation expenses during your early stages of migration.
